At the helm of Connecting Dots-Dave Barr day care location is myself, the Program Director. My background includes growing up in a small Northern Alberta town and later moving to Grande Prairie. I attained a diploma from North-western Polytechnic in Early Learning and Child Care, positioning me for success in the childcare industry. As an Early Learning Educator, I have had the privilege of honing my craft for over eight years, fostering a deep understanding of the values that are paramount to effectively serving in this profession. Connection, reflection, and intention are the three core principles that have moulded me into the educator, mother, and friend I am today. These fundamental elements have allowed me to be fully present in my role, mentally, physically, and emotionally. I have also had the honour of collaborating with exceptional educators who, unknowingly, have contributed to my growth and development as an educator. As I continue on this journey, I am proud to represent them and the invaluable lessons they have taught me. The notion that a village is required to raise a child equally applies to creating exemplary educators. I am excited to join the Connecting Dots Foundation and contribute to the betterment of the child care field.
